The online payment option will be applied to the invoice if the setup is created inside QuickBooks Online. If the invoices are imported, the feature's status will be based on the imported file.
That being said, I suggest sending feedback to help our Product Development team determine which innovation will be implemented in the next future update. Our team keeps on improving and developing the software to adapt to our customers’ needs and make QuickBooks gets even better. The change is also based on how popular a specific feature request is.
To proceed, here's how:
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
- Select the Gear icon at the top.
- Choose Feedback.
- Enter your comments and then click Next to submit the recommendation.
In the meantime, you can manually edit the imported invoices to enable the online payment. For more information, please see this article: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online.
