Invoices

Hello, I appreciate your help on this matter. I manually entered some payments on an invoice today (2/27/26).. I was able to match them in the bank account, so I know they were recorded. The payments are not reflected on the invoice, however.. The last date that the invoice shows payments was 2/26/26. Please advise. Thank you

Invoices

Hi there, drstewart512. Could you provide clarification on how you manually enter the payment in QuickBooks? Did you use the receive payment feature when entering these invoice payments?

When you enter a Receive payment, adding the customer's name will pull up their open invoices. You need to check the boxes next to those invoices to link the payment. The reason the invoice hasn't been updated yet is that the payment is currently pending and hasn't been applied to that specific balance.
