Lost credit card reader

Hi there, thomastcw.

You can have another card reader and order from the app or the Merchant Service Center. Your card reader should arrive in 4 to 7 business days. You can also get in touch with our QuickBooks Payments Support team to help you with your lost credit card reader. They may have options for you on what to do with it.

You can use this link on how to contact us. Our support hours are also listed there so we can address your concern immediately.

I'll be attaching articles that will help you install and process payments with your credit card reader:

Lost credit card reader

Thanks for sharing your card reader concern here in the Community, @FusionMoving.

Your account's security is my priority. I'd like to ensure that this problem will be taken care of.

You can disconnect the stolen card reader from your device so it will no longer be connected on the app.

To do that:

  1. From the menu, select Settings.
  2. Select Card Readers, then choose the card reader to disconnect.
  3. From the Reader Actions drop-down, select Forget Reader.
  4. Reconnect the reader.

For Blue GoPayment:

  1. Select More, then select Hardware.
  2. Select Card Readers, then choose the card reader you want to disconnect.
  3. From the Readers Actions drop-down, select Forget Reader.
  4. Reconnect the reader.

After that, I'd recommend reaching out to our Merchant Services Team. They have the tools to check on your account and help disconnect the card reader from your account.

To reach them:

  1. Click on Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Hit on the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Press on Let's talk.
  5. Select on Get a callback.
  6. Key in your contact details, then tap on Confirm my callcontact us1.PNGContact us2.PNG

Lastly, you can order and set up the card reader again so you can get back to business. Here are some articles that you can utilize upon performing the process:
