PayPal payments from customers

PayPal was set up as an 'other' payment type instead of 'cash'. Can I get a meaningful report by changing the payment type to 'cash' and running a transaction report by customer retroactively?

Hi there, @numbrcrcnchr.

 

When running the Transaction List by Customer report, changing the payment type of your payment method won't vary. It is because the report will only display the payment method column.

 

However, you can edit the payment type from the Payment Method List.  Doing this will change the customer's transactions retroactively.

 

To do that:

  1. From the Lists menu, select Customer & Vendor Profile Lists.
  2. Choose Payment Method List.
  3. Select the Payment Method.
  4. Change the Payment Type from Other to Cash.
