Hello there, @jean40. Welcome to QuickBooks Community.
QuickBooks follows the coding system set for US addresses to stay compliant with the federal and state government.
Since the zip code is entered correctly, we can do some troubleshooting steps to fix this error. Before doing so, please make sure you are logged in as the master administrator. Then, you can start refreshing your browser by clicking the Reload icon or F5 on your keyboard.
Once done, open your company using the incognito window or private browser. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Afterward, try to update the zip code again. If it works, let's clear your regular browser's cache and close it entirely. This will refresh your browser settings. You can also try using a different browser when entering your business zip code.
If you want to see if your current browser is compatible, use the browser health checkup tool.
You can use the USPS Look-up Tool. From there, you can search for a zip code of a given street address and city within the given zip code. Also, you may need this article to learn more about managing your business details:
However, if the same thing happens, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account to check the cause of why the system will not recognize your business zip code. You can utilize the Help icon from the QuickBooks Home page.
Know that you can always go back here and post your concerns about your company's zip code or anything related to QuickBooks. I'm right here to help. Stay safe and be well.

Hi there,
I have the same error and it cannot be solved by clearing the cache. Some Zip Codes are associated with more than one city and some online databases (apparently Quickbooks') only accept one. Therefore, I would need to enter an incorrect address for my associated Zip code. Is there any way to fix this?
