Quickbooks checking envelope won't allow a transfer

I'm trying to transfer funds from my envelope to another account and it continues to give me an error message of "check my balance or try again."

Quickbooks checking envelope won't allow a transfer

You can't transfer money directly from the envelope to another account, @up-upsiding. As a workaround, you can transfer the funds first from the envelope to your checking account before moving them to the desired account.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Envelopes section.
  2. Select the envelope from which you want to withdraw money.
  3. Choose Send money and enter the amount you wish to transfer.
  4. Ensure the correct envelope is selected in the From field.
  5. In the To field, select your QuickBooks Checking account.
  6. Enter the amount you want to withdraw from your envelope, click Next, and then select Done once the transfer request is completed.

Also, please note that when transferring funds from an envelope, ensure you do not exceed its available balance.

After this, you can move your money from the checking account to another account.

Quickbooks checking envelope won't allow a transfer

I was trying to move it from my envelope into my quickbooks checking account, but I got it to work online. However, it would not work in the app.

Quickbooks checking envelope won't allow a transfer

Hi, @up-upsiding. Thank you for getting back in the thread.

Since this works in the web browser, you can troubleshoot your QuickBooks Online mobile app to resolve this unexpected behavior.

Here's how:

For iOS:

  1. Tap on the Settings icon and then choose General.
  2. Click on iPhone Storage and choose the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app.
  3. Tap on the Offload App option to refresh the app's data.

For Android:

  1. Open your phone's Settings.
  2. Select Application.
  3. Look for the QBO app.
  4. Tap the clear data to reset the app to its initial state.

If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the app. This is to ensure the version you'll be using is updated.

In the meantime, you can continue moving your funds out of the envelope by logging in to your QuickBooks Online using a web browser.

If you have follow-up questions, don't hesitate to reply. I'm happy to help.
