I've often been offered next day ACH deposits through QBO, for a 1% transaction fee. As I do not need next day deposits, I've opted to not pay QBO to speed up the deposit process. Today, I have an email that states effective April 12th, all ACH payments will deposit the next day, I will pay the 1% transaction fee on each transaction, and it sounds like opting out of this fee is no longer an option. Anyone else seeing this and if so, found a way to opt out?
Hello there, sharpka.
When processing bank transfers with a maximum of $10 per transaction, QuickBooks will charge 1% for every ACH payment process. That's the reason why you're getting charged for that particular rate. For now, you'll have a 1% transaction for the processing fee.
In QuickBooks, there are several payment rates per transaction. If you would like to gather more details about it, you can check this article in your free time: Accept ACH payments and eChecks. This doesn't answer the question of how you justify making an "offered" service with cost (next day deposits) now a MANDATORY service. I do not want or need next day deposits. Requiring us to use this service seems just a way for Quickbooks to grab a part of our funds. Aside from the fees I already pay to use Quickbooks! Your clients need to be able to opt out of this service, or you need to provide it at no additional cost. Requiring clients to pay you for a service provided free when we signed up is not acceptable.
These animals are way too big, so unless a big chunk of their client base leaves, they will continue to get away stealing from us. These CROCKED INTUIT ARE GETTING GREEDIER AND GREEDIER EVERY FEW MONTHS. My ACH collections are high, Intuit lured us to get our invoices paid via ACH at no charge, and now these criminals at Intuit have increased my yearly ACH fees to about $14,000 US Dollars !!!
