Hello,
I was wondering how to add fold lines to invoices and other forms. When you are editing a template, it shows where the envelope windows are, but no indicator for fold lines. My previous accounting program would print small thin lines on the left/right edges of an invoice to indicate where you would fold it for an envelope. It's helpful; it takes out the guess work/eyeballing to have a professional looking letter. How can I do this in Quickbooks Desktop?

There's no feature to do this.
It's just a simple feature, oh well. Thank you.
Hi there, Ashley65.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Community. I'd like to provide some info on your question about fold lines.
As mentioned above, fold lines for forms are not currently available in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll do my part and submit your suggestion to the Product Development Team for review.
Keep up the great work and please feel free to reach out here any time you have a question. Take care.

Yes, as I already mentioned above, voted up, and accepted as the best answer.

Open a form such as Invoice, Formatting, Customize Data Layout.
you can insert a Text Box, expand it to fill with width of the page or close to it, insert text "......." or other, like "Fold Here") in small font. Move it around to where you need it based on your own envelopes. Save.
If you can see the box in my screenshot you will see what I added. You can and should change the border qualities of the text box to be invisible but otherwise this should work
Good luck, and good darned luck if you use the "Customize Design" button instead since it now appears to open a design template that is only about 2" by 3" on screen and no way to zoom in full size (worthless for edit)
Great workaround, thank you! I ended up putting a little borderless box with a dash 1/3 of the way down the page and that'll be just fine! Hint Hint QB, easy feature to add!
Glad it worked.
