Desktop: apply reconciled deposit to an invoice after the reconciliation

Hello,  I saw another similar query and tried to follow but am stumped.( I have a backup already - and already restored it once after messing up.) So, here is the challenge. 

I entered a deposit on 7/18 and 3 lines of it were to for amounts that should be applied to open invoices. But, instead I booked them to a revenue account. 

The bank rec. is done. 

What now? How do I apply the 3 lines on one deposit to three different invoices?

Desktop: apply reconciled deposit to an invoice after the reconciliation

To fix this,

1. First enter two customer A/R Payments and apply each to the appropriate invoice.

2. Then edit the deposit and delete the line items that represent the payments.

3. Then click the Payments button at the top of the deposit form and select the payments, which will then be added to the deposit. The deposit will then have the same total as before you started editing it.

4. Save the deposit with your changes.

I followed your steps. 

When I go to the top of the deposit form and select the payments, they are not there.

 

To do this: First enter two customer A/R Payments and apply each to the appropriate invoice.

I went to customers, receive payments. I found the open invoices and paid them. Maybe I was supposed to do this another way?

That sounds right to me.

 

After recording the payments, they should appear in Undeposited Funds and be available to include in a deposit. That it, unless they were deposited directly into a bank account. This is an option that some have turned on. If you edit the payments, do you see a "Deposit To" account field, as below? If so, what appears in the field?  If not undeposited funds, then change it to undeposited funds.  Then you can include the payments in deposits:
