Fear of Phishing

I’ve called about a large deposit in review and some of the phone representatives have said my account is terminated and they can’t help me and others say my account is fine. Meanwhile, my deposits are being held for review and just when I think they’ll be released, I’m asked to provide a lot more information that I could have provided earlier.. Now I am being asked for 6 months of bank statements and copies of contracts I have with vendors. I am also receiving calls from people claiming to be supervisors and falsely claiming my account is terminated and wanting information that could give them access to my pending deposits. QBO was supposed to be easy but long delays to access deposits, strung-out reviews and what appears to be phishing attempts all have me concerned. Can we please expedite and simplify this process?

Fear of Phishing

I hear your sentiments, @Dave Trebas. I’ll make it up to you by sharing a couple of details on how to deal with this payments on hold concern.

I appreciate you sharing this incident here in the Community. If that happened to me, I would also ask to speed up the process. I also understand that these funds are important for running your business.

Intuit will attempt to reach you at the phone number listed on your merchant account. You'll also get an email with specific instructions on what more information we'll need to finish our review. You’ll have to submit any requested documents in order to resolve the issue quickly. After receiving all of the relevant data, the review usually takes within two business days.

The credit card deposit takes 1-2 business days to reach your bank, while bank transfers (ACH) can take 2-7 business days. See this article to learn more about this: Understanding Payment Holds.

Please also know that protecting and securing your personal and financial information is our priority. With the outbound calls from a QuickBooks representative, we will not contact you unless you request a callback. We won’t also ask for any personal information.

If you keep receiving suspicious call, I'd suggest you reach out to our security team on the Intuit Security site. This way, our team can monitor the situation.

I’ve added these resources to help you determine the official communication channels of Intuit so you can protect yourself from these scam:

If you have any other Payments concern, I'm always around to help you resolve them. Have a great day ahead.
