How can I add a Bill with multiple payment terms

Hello,

How do I add payment terms with with multiple discounts on multiple months? One of our vendors offers 5%30, 4%60, 3%90, Net120. Batching doesn't work for this that I can figure out anyway.

Please help and thank you!

How can I add a Bill with multiple payment terms

Being able to have multiple payment terms on multiple months within your bill is indeed beneficial, manningmusic. I have some information to share regarding this.

In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), creating multiple payment terms with discounts for several months is unavailable. However, we can create separate transactions for each payment term, discount, and month to accurately represent the terms and associated discounts.

Here's how:

Step 1: Create a term

  1. Go to the List menu.
  2. Choose the Customer & Vendor Profile Lists dropdown, then click the Terms list.
  3. Press the Terms dropdown, then choose New.
  4. Enter the name of the payment term.
  5. If you want a payment due within a specific number of days from the transaction date, you can choose the Standard radio button.
  6. If you need to select the day of the month for payment within the due date, choose the Date Driven radio button. Fill out the corresponding field.
  7. Once done, press OK.

Step 2: Create a bill transaction

  1. Go to the Vendors menu, then choose Enter Bills.
  2. Select the name of your vendor under the Vendor dropdown.
  3. Choose a payment term in the Terms dropdown.
  4. Fill out the Expenses or Items tab.
  5. Once done, click Save & Close or Save & New.

When you're ready to pay the bill and record it on your company file, you can view this article: Pay bills in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll be around to offer a helping hand. Please let me know in the comment section if you have additional questions about payment terms.
