How can I connect my Stripe account?

I'm here to share details about connecting Stripe to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @hello181.

For the time being, the option to connect Stripe to QBSE isn't available. The system can solely link bank, credit card, and PayPal accounts through the online banking feature. However, you can manually import your transactions using a CSV file to keep your financial data updated.

To import, here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Imports. 
2. Click Import older transactions under the ACTION column for the Cash type. 
3. Select Browse.
4. Follow the instructions onscreen to finish importing your data.
5. Select Import.

Once imported, review your transactions in the Transactions menu. Doing so will let QBSE puts your transactions on the correct line of your Schedule C. Then, organizes your income and expenses. Thanks for your help with this!  Do you know if there is a way to create invoices in foreign currencies? This is why I was asking about Stripe. I have clients in Asia that I need to invoice in their local currency, and then Stripe converts it to USD before depositing it into my bank account. Is this possible in QB?

I import stripe transactions but they duplicate the income because they are received on stripe and then on the bank account, but since there's fees in between, the income doesn't match from stripe to the bank and it ends up duplicating

ex.

Stripe receives 1000, fees -200

Bank receives 800 (already synced with QBO)

Importing the stripe balance it shows a total Income of stripe + bank balance: 1800

 when it should be just 1000 - 200 in fees = 800 total

Is there any way I can tidy the actual income and fees from stripe and the amount received in the bank account from stripe?

Thanks for joining the thread, SchlundVictory.  I can help you in removing duplicate transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). 

To resolve this, you can exclude the transactions from the bank account. Here's how:

1. Go to the Transactions menu.
2. Locate and select the transaction you want to exclude.
3. Click the Exclude icon.
4. Once done, hit Apply.

After that, proceed in splitting the transaction by amount. You can record the -200 as an income.  To do that: 

1. Click the Split button on the transaction.
2. Select Amount from the Split by drop-down menu.
3. Select Add line and enter the -200 in the Amount column.
4. Once done, click on Save. 

Also, each time you put transactions into QBSE, you need to categorize them. This will let the system place them on the correct line of your Schedule C form. You can refer to this article for the complete details: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
