Welcome to the Community forum, @dougie22.

Did you receive a specific error when connecting with Alliant Credit Union? If you're getting an error 103 when signing in, you'll need to log in to your bank's website and access your account from there. Be sure to enter your credentials manually as there are times wherein the passwords that are stored are stale and are the reason why you're getting an invalid login.

You can refer to this article for the outlined steps: Fix banking error 103.

If you're experiencing a different issue, I'd suggest attempting to refresh your connection. Just go to the Gear Icon and click the Bank account. Then tap the Refresh button.

I hope this clears things up, thanks again for reaching out. I'll be here if there's anything else you need. Have a nice day!

I'm having the same problem.  Followed all the proposed steps but still not working.

I also sent a message to Alliant to see if they've changed something.  They call their third party access - "Aggregators"

Any new information / suggestions would be great.

Hey there, @AerialStudio.

Nice to have you here, thank you for following this thread.

A little information about the 103 banking error this means that the sign-in credentials you entered aren't being accepted by your bank's website.

I recommend trying the following steps:

  1. Click the Reconnect button that displays within the error message. Make sure to type the user name and password.
  2. Select Update Sign-in Info.

If you're still having issues, you can check out: Error 103 for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please let me know if there is anything more I can assist you with. I'm only a post away. Take care and enjoy the day!

This problem has persisted for months now.   I was hoping it would just go away like it does with Citibank every now and again as security protocols change.  But no luck.   Alliant basically says it's a QB problem and isn't helping.  Wondering what the next steps could possibly be?   Thank you for your help

Hey there, AerialStudio. Thanks for updating the Community on this bank connection problem. I'll help you take a look into what's going on and troubleshoot the situation.

To make sure I'm fully understanding what you're experiencing, there's a couple things I'd like to confirm:

  • Are you seeing an error message when experiencing the problem?
  • If so, what does it say?

I can see we inquired before but didn't get a direct answer on what you're seeing when trying to connect with your bank.

In your original post you had mentioned the problem you're experiencing is with connecting to an Alliant Credit Union credit card account. The 103 error message my colleagues have mentioned in this thread is the only known issue we have with connections to the bank you're using. An internal investigation has been done and it was concluded that this banking error is caused by invalid log in credentials. I know you had mentioned that everything is correct, but I'd recommend double checking the information you're signing in with if this is the code you're seeing when encountering the connection issue.

The troubleshooting process for this is simple and usually limited to sign in information like your username and password. You can start by going to your bank's website and attempting to access your account from there. If you're able to log in successfully, return to QuickBooks and manually update the info on file with us.

If you can login but are still encountering the error, you'll want to check with your bank to see if they require third party access approval. Some banks need permission to connect an account to another service. Generally you'll be able to find this setting when logged in to their online portal. This option would need to be turned on. If it's turned off, Intuit won't be able to connect properly with your financial institution.
