I tried to link to my Paypal Credit account and instead linked it to my Paypal account. How can I fix this? And is there a way to link a Paypal Credit account to QBO?

Thank you for posting your concern here in the Community space, Angie, I'm here to help you link your QuickBooks Online to your PayPal Credit account instead of your PayPal account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank Transactions on the left menu.
  2. Click the Link account button.
  3. Search for PayPal.
  4. Select the option that says PayPal Credit (or PayPal Credit World Mastercard if that's the specific card you have).
  5. Follow the prompts to connect your PayPal Credit account as a credit card.

If you encounter issues with this method, try connecting using an incognito window or a different browser.

I'd like to provide these articles for you to learn what to do with your bank transactions after you link your PayPal:

Thank you... I tried to do this but after providing login credentials to PayPal. (Paypal credit does  not have separate login), it only found my Paypal Account, not the Paypal Credit account. Any other suggestions how I can get it connected?

Thanks for getting back to us, Angie.

I understand that connecting your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a top priority for you and your business. Allow me to provide more information on this matter.

If you weren't able to find your bank when you searched, it might be for several reasons such as:

  • Make sure the spelling is accurate. Double-check if the spelling matches what is mentioned on your bank's website.
  • Use specific names to search for your bank. If you're still unable to find it, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search bar. For instance, search for "hsbc.com" for HSBC.
  • Look for the name of the issuing bank, which is the bank that issued your bank card. You can find the name of the issuing bank on the back of your card. While "Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, "Visa" may be too generic.

If you have tried all the options matching your bank's name and still can't connect, or if your bank doesn’t appear, request support from your bank. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click Link account.
  3. Search for the name of the bank. If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, you will get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks," and you will be presented with helpful tips to try and locate your bank account.
  4. If you’re still unable to locate your bank, select Request.
  5. Type your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.

On the other hand, there's another option for us to record your transactions in QuickBooks Online without connecting your bank. Here's an article for future reference: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online

Did anyone ever find an answer that works?  QBO doesn't see Paypal Credit for me and I did everything in the first answer.

Let's just admit the third was BS

That doesn't help.  QBO can't find my Paypal Credit account. It finds only the main Paypal one.
