I have recently linked my back account and it has pulled in multiple transactions year to date.
I use Solopreneur and consequently have to use "Invoice" as the "Sales Receipt" option is not available.
I have created a customer invoice but can't see how to link it to the transaction that has been automatically pulled in from my bank.
Can you please advise?
A second question is related to inconsistency in how transactions are showing. For example, I created an invoice of $100 total which includes two items ($90 Service + $10 Tip). When I look in the transactions tab, sometimes it shows as a single line item of $100 which is what I want. Other times it will split it into two line items $90 + $10 even though when you click into each line item it correctly is linked to the $100 total
I have tried recreating the invoice and it still shows as two line items in certain instances.
Hey there, @Affinistyle.
The option to use the invoice as a sales receipt and link it to a bank transaction is currently unavailable in QuickBooks (QB) Solopreneur.
Additionally, when you create an invoice with two items, it will display two line items in the Transactions tab by default.
In case you want to divide your transactions into different categories, you can check out this article for more guidance: Split transactions in QuickBooks Solopreneur.
I'm still all ears if you have any other concerns regarding QB Solopreneur. Feel free to leave a reply below. Stay safe!
Hi - my question was more to understand how i link a customer invoice to the transactions that have been automatically downloaded?? Categorizing them only allows me to identify them as a sale but i can’t see how to link it to the customer invoice where i have details of the service provided.
Thank you for coming back to the Community, Affinitistyle.
As of now, linking an invoice to a downloaded transaction in QuickBooks Solopreneur isn't possible. The inclusion of this feature in the program is a valuable addition and optimizes the record-keeping process.
