Linking up to AMEX is not working. Please advise.

Would be nice to be able to post a picture here. I'm attempting to add my AMEX Business Account, and am getting the message that "We are not able to connect with American Express Corporate or Personal Card (US) at this time!"

There might be a scheduled bank maintenance,  djarmoluk.

 

The connection error you got indicates that you're unable to connect for now. The error usually disappears after 24-48 hours. Please login to your QB Self-Employed and do the usual steps in connecting your bank.

Additionally, QuickBooks will only download the last 90 days (or more) of transactions from your bank. If you need to get the older transactions, you'll want to consider uploading them manually via CSV file.

 

Here's how to import the file:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Imports.
  2. Choose Import transactions.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  4. Select Import to complete the process.

Once you're done, it's time to review and categorize your downloaded bank transactions.
