Missing Deposit

I’m missing a deposit from my bank account. My invoice was paid through QB bank transfer and still hasn’t shown in my account. QB says funds has been deposited and no funds are in my account but still not in my bank account and it has been more than the usual business days to process. I’ve called my bank three times and there isn’t a pending transaction. My correct routing and account number were entered. Where can I find my funds?

Missing Deposit

Welcome to the Community space, @slawson4. I'm here to help you show missing deposits from paid invoices in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

First, ensure that you've set your bank as default when depositing paid invoices in QBDT. We can check and edit your preferences. This way, you can choose and then put it in the default bank account by the system when recording customer payments. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Choose Payments on the left pane and click the Company Preferences.
  3. Under the Receive Payments section, deselect the Use Undeposited Funds as a default deposit to account checkbox.
  4. Hit OK.

 

 

Once done, proceed to the Banking window and navigate to Make Deposits. It should show the transactions you recently moved to the Undeposited Funds account when the Payments to Deposit window appears and choose the designated account. I'm adding some screenshots for reference:
