First off I would like to say that Intuit's rollout of the New Online Bill Pay was abysmal. They did not train their support staff or even mention the change because it took me multiple calls and days to even get an a representative to acknowledge the upcoming change. They all kept trying to route me to bill.com.
Secondly, there were known issues with signing up for the new bill pay that the Support staff did not know or made aware of. I spent 2 hours troubleshooting something that was just broken.
Third, they did not provide anywhere near enough information about their product and honestly...it feels like half-baked alpha release.
If you're going to replace your primary integration with Bill.com, at least make sure your replacement is someone comparable. There are so many things wrong with the service but the main issue being I can't pay one (1) vendor for multiple bills, I have make multiple payment for each bill. Even if you have the Premium Tier plan, it is ridiculous you can't aggregate payments and creating more work.
I'm more upset with how Intuit rolled this out and the lack of information available. Worse, it's the Support staff that will or are hearing the customers frustration.
I doubt anything will be fixed in timely manner so I will probably be integrating with Melio or Bill.com. I might as well mention Melio since that seems to be the generic answer on any similar post.

Came here looking for this after searching for an hour. This cannot be true is it? Are they really that desperate for the additional $0.50 charges per bill paid? Wow
You can signup for a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO. To combine payments to the same vendor, you can find "Multiple payments to same vendor" option later. You just need to toggle on "Combine into one".

As an additional option, you can get $100 as cashback to pay the first bill.

Even paying the .50 per bill would be ok, Just would like to see the option to pay multiple bills for a single vendor , i receive multiple invoices/bills from 1 vendor in a month, this is a back step from what we had! extra time to schedule payment for every single invoice for 1 vendor!
Hello there, @ALLRIGGS LLC.
I am aware of the advantages for businesses like yours. I want QuickBooks Online (QBO) to have this feature as much as you do.
But QBO is still unable to access it. However, I strongly urge you to share your thoughts with our software engineers. They carefully examine customer feedback, especially when determining how to improve QuickBooks.
Here's how:
You may also want to read this article to learn how to run a report in QBO: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you require further assistance in paying bills online. I'm here to help anytime. Have a good one.
I, too, am disappointed that the QBO Bill Pay won't pay multiple invoices for one vendor. I rely heavily on that with my present Melio interface for paying bills.
But there is a cost-saving workaround I use:
Done.
I've been using Melio for a couple years and really like it.
Unfortunately, last Friday I couldn't connect it to QBO. I called QBO and they said they've severed their relationship with Melio. I called Melio and they told me that there's no longer a 2-way sync. I can manually upload bills to Melio, pay them, and then the info will sync to QBO. But that's 2x the work.
I'm furious. And ready people's comments here on the community, it sounds like Intuit's attempt to make more money is going to burn us and our clients. $0.50 per ACH?!?!?! I didn't know that we can't combine multiple bills on one check. So once again, Intuit ensuring they're gouging us for every penny.
You just need to sign up for a free Melio account to integrate with QBO. Data from Billpay feature powered by Melio will sync over to the new account and you can still use the combined bill payment feature to the same vendor later or pay your vendors for free with ACH.

I have one, have had it for years @4Gal and use it with all of my clients.
As I said, when I called them Friday to ask re: what is happening with QBO, they said its no longer a 2-way sync. I have to manually upload my bills to pay them.
maybe the person I spoke with was clueless, but it was a very specific response to my questions.
when I called them Friday to ask
Who is them? Intuit or Melio?
Can you share the phone number you called? As I know, Melio only responds to questions via email. Unless you have a personal contact number like us.
Are you actually suggesting that I didn't speak with someone from Melio @4Gal?
hmmmm.....then again, maybe you're right. I must have been hallucinating. Again!!!
The 2-way sync between Melio and QuickBooks is still active. You can log into Melio by going to meliopayments.com, and then clicking on log in. You can use your Intuit credentials by clicking on Login with Intuit from there. Once you’re logged into Melio, click on Settings, and then on Accounting Software Sync. If it’s not already connected, click on Connect under Quickbooks Online. You’ll then be prompted to go through the sync process!
'm VERTY FRASTRATED! Have anyone successfully signed up for the New Bill Pay online with QBO. I got an email that Melio payment was stopped on 12/14/2023 and asked me to sign up QBO online BILL PAY. However, it didn't work, and the message was "QB Bill Pay is not available for my business" even after I connected the bank and got confirmation. It has been one month, and the same message still shows when I tried to pay. I chatted with a few representatives and they didn't know what to do and one just "stop" the chat suddenly. Terrible training. I chatted, emailed and went to the QB Online Bill Pay website page and got NO HELP at all! Any advice to get QBO bill pay? Thank you!
I understand the challenges you're experiencing with the new Bill Pay Online, vivienacs.
I can provide additional information when signing up for QB Online Bill Pay.
The new QB Bill Pay in QuickBooks is currently in Beta, which means that access to this feature is not yet available to all accounts. We are progressively granting access to ensure that all users can benefit from this feature without any disruptions to their workflow.
I've also included this article you can browse to help you record and manage your bills: Enter bills and record bill payments in QuickBooks Online.
Keep us posted if have any other concerns or further questions about managing your bills or other transactions in QuickBooks. I'll be sure to lend a hand.
Thank you for your reply. But when is my turn to get access to the new BILL PAY. How is the status of " progressively granting access "? It's already interrupted for a month. How much longer do I have to wait to pay vendors online?
I understand the urgency of gaining access to the new Bill Pay feature, vivienacs.
However, we're unable to provide a precise timeframe for when you'll be able to access this feature. Our team is working diligently to gradually roll out access, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience for all users. Rest assured, we will keep you updated as we progress.
In the meantime, you can look for a third-party application that lets you pay vendors online. You can visit our QuickBooks App Store. Or go to the Apps tab within your account.
Furthermore, to effectively monitor all the payments made to your vendors within a specific date range, I suggest reading the following resources: Run a report with vendor totals.
Let me know in the comment below if you require further assistance managing bills or related matters. I am here to support you at any time.
As far as I know, this issue is still ongoing and it seems like they are having trouble fixing it. You can signup for a free Melio account as a workaround to integrate with QBO.

Thank you for your advice!
I am trying to pay two different vendor invoices via ACH using Bill Pay. They both come back stating PAYMENT CANNOT BE SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME. One is for 20k and the other is 40k. Why will it not work on these? I have made only one other payment but it was only $500. I opened a case on this to see if there were some kind of limits, which seems crazy to me, and they had no clue. They submitted my case to engineering and then I received an email stating that it had been resolved. No it is not resovled. Anyone else experience this and know why I cannot make these payments. I agree with all the comments about their rollout and training of their support staff is sub-par.
Try the app as I mention earlier as your backup.
Thanks for following along, @rrogers2024.
I checked on our back end, we have a recently concluded investigation into the Payment can't be scheduled error message when using Bill Pay in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Since you're still experiencing the issue, I recommend reaching out to our customer support team so they can determine the root cause of the problem and reopen the investigation if necessary.
To do that:
Please let me know if there is anything else that I can assist you with. Take care!
I can't get even get signed up for Quickbooks Bill Pay for a client I just, regrettably, migrated from desktop. I got the two micro deposits to our bank account, but when I tried to enter them using the link provided, it says, "Something's not right, please try again." Couple days later I still got the same error.
When I called support, the person "helpfully" walked me through the process of paying a bill by check. I explained I was trying to use QB Bill Pay and he asked what that was. So, onto the next support person who told me that it's only being rolled out very slowly and I don't have access to it yet, even though I completed the online application and submitted it. Then an hour or so later she told me that since we bought our product from TechSoup (we're a very small nonprofit) that I have to get their permission to sign up for bill pay. That just sounds utterly ridiculous, we paid for the subscription ourselves.
The ability to pay contractors and vendors online was the whole reason I migrated this client in the first place! I signed up for contractor payments but it's $15/month when bill pay claims to be $0/month for 5 ACH transactions which is all we need, plus, you have to select the contractors you want to pay. Once a year I have to pay 30 or so contractors and I don't want to print a list of open bills then manually select them on the contractor payment screen. That seems really stupid. I see the suggestions on this thread to try Melio, I guess I'll do that.
I'm an experienced QBO user and still dislike it after many years, but this has been the worst migration ever. I'm ready to throw in the towel. To add insult to injury, the support people always end by offering me free training which is available to Advanced QBO users. They shouldn't bother to upsell someone who can't get the product to work in the first place!
