Say a customer owes us $50, $25 for a current invoice and $25 for a past due invoice. Using the link that comes with their current invoice, it is only allowing them to pay $25. They cannot edit the amount to pay over that. Is there any work around or setting to fix that?
Also, how can the customer set up recurring payments?
Good evening, @RVWD.
It's great to see you back in the Community. Let me share some insight into your question about how to let your customer pay over the amount and setting up recurring payments.
At this time, paying over the amount isn't possible. You can always send our Product Developers some feedback about this so they can consider this as a feature in the near future.

More details are listed in the guide to provide you with the instructions on how to do these actions successfully: Set up Autopay for recurring invoices in QuickBooks Online.

I am on Desktop, so the online instructions to set up recurring payments doesn't work for me.
Regarding credit card payments over the amount, is there a way to set up a portal where they can pay any amount they want toward there account, maybe not linked to an invoice?
Also is there a way to leave feedback for Merchant Services? Since that seems to be where the limitation is?
Hi there, RVWD,
We're always looking for suggestions to make our products better.
You can submit that awesome feedback from your Merchant account. There is a Feedback link on the upper right-hand side of the home page, just above your payments account number. Click the link and a window opens to allow you to submit feedback.
I also encourage you to review some of our commonly asked payment questions through this article: QuickBooks Payments FAQ. Visit our QuickBooks Payments page for more insights about managing your customer payments on your account.
You can get back to me anytime you have additional questions about Merchant Services. Take care
