I've been reading the Intuit/QB technicians have been feverishly helping QB Mac 2019 users who are experiencing constant crashes with Mac OS Mojave.
But what about us 2016 users?
Anything from the technicians?
Something?
Bueller?
Bueller?
Bueller?
I agree. Just tell us Intuit if you will be updating 2016 or what! We are grown people. We can take it.

I'm another QB Mac 2016 user on Mojave. QB crashes almost any time I try and close a window. I've stopped closing windows. Unfortunately, this also means I can't cleanly close QB. I now run a backup manually when I'm done, and then I choose close to crash QB. The crash catcher seems useless. It gives me a window to report what I was doing but pressing the button seems to do nothing.
Welcome aboard to the QuickBooks Community, maplefarm.
I want to help you get rid of any crashes when closing a window in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

I had the same problem with QB 2016. I use my Quickbooks every day. I couldn't wait for a fix, so I upgraded to 2019. It seems to be working fine. But seriously, being forced to spend a couple hundred bucks to upgrade because they can't seem to fix their issues!
Super annoying !
It is absolutely impossible to do what you suggested. When using ANY of your utilities, QB Mac 2016 crashes.
I therefore contacted your tech support and was given this Intuit Case # [removed] and believe that, based upon my experience, you WILL NOT follow through with a fix.
This has been going on for 3 weeks and you clearly don't care to support your Mac customers.
As a result, I am looking into other manufacturers recommended here on this discussion group who clearly CARE about long standing customers, the money they've invested in a company, and want to provide solutions rather than rhetoric about issues.
Shame on you.
You having to buy a new product is total BS!!!
Intuit should support their legacy products and stop avoiding fixes that cause people to spend more money with them.
I am at the point where I am going to go out of my way -- to start a mission -- and spread the word about how Intuit DOESN'T support their customers and their businesses.
The amount of people I work with throughout the entertainment and music industry need to know about this company and their lack of support.
Shame on Intuit.
Shame on them for not support Mac users.
3 weeks and counting and absolutely NO solution.
Shame on you Intuit.

Feel free to reach back out to us if you have further questions. Wishing you and your business continued success.
Launching form safe boot produces the same issues. Continually crashes.
This is a problem on Intuit's end with a program/application that wasn't tested properly under Mac's new OSX Mojave.
please...support QB Mac 2016!!!!
Hello, PLUS7RPD.
Thanks for getting back to me and letting me know you tried out the steps I previously sent.
I would like to inform you that this has already been reported to our Product Development Team. Although I don't have a specific time frame as to when and how this will be mediated upon. Rest assured this is being looked into. It would be best to contact our QuickBooks Desktop Support. They have the tools to check your account and review the error.
Here's how you can reach them:
You know where to find me if you have any other questions. Have a good one.
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, when following your instructions -- including contacting Quickbooks Desktop Support -- they offer NO solution. Rather, they say that they don't know what's causing the problem, they are happy to assign a CASE ID # and that for nearly 4 weeks...they're at a loss as to why there's no solution.
Of course, your support folks apologize, but when business people like me have customers waiting for invoices, and I have deposits to make -- apologies for 4 weeks doesn't cut it any more.
You have customers like me (who have been with you for decades) going round and round in circles.
Shame on you.
Greetings, PLUS7RPD.
Thanks for performing the troubleshooting steps and for contacting our Technical Support Team regarding the crashing issue in QB Mac 2016.
I looked into this further and our engineers are all hands on deck working for the permanent resolution. We’ll be updating the thread once the patch is released.
We appreciate your time and understanding while we look into the issue. If there's anything else that I can you with, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always around to help.
It would be nice if they were all hands on deck during the months of betas before the Mac update was released! And I seriously doubt this is a priority or it would have been fixed by now.
I think Quick Books owes its Mac 2016 users an update more than once a week. We still crash many times per day!! Every day that goes by with no word of a fix is extremely frustrating.
You are losing our confidence by the minute.
Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with an update on the steps that you've tried and the outcome.

I ran QB-2016 today and there was an update for R29. So far, it's WORKING! I was able click on Quit and have QB close, run an automatic backup, and exit cleanly. I just restarted QB-2016 and discovered that I can close windows without it crashing!
Keep us updated!
Nope. Still failing miserably here.
I stand corrected. It appears now to FINALLY have been remedied. Way to go Intuit. More than a month...but way to go.
Did your update to R29?
Yes, the update fixed the problems. Thank you.
Quite possibly, since Mojave is not specifically listed as compatible then it might not be. We PC users went through a supposed failure of 2015 to work with Win10 which changes about half as often as mac OS
OTOH, QB specifically says Mojave supports QB2019 for Mac
Hello, I am using QB for Mac 2016 and I am on the El Capitan OSX. I want to upgrade to Mojave, but I can't find anywhere that it's safe to do so. I am on the QB Mac 2016 - R31 build, I believe, and I think there is an R32 available. Any advice you can offer is appreciated. Thank you so much.
