"...there is only one person allowed to approve bills, is there a way we can assign the task to someone other than the approver? so the bill will have 2 approvers instead of one."
I do not see the above question answered. To restate: Is there a way in QBO Advanced to create a task workflow that requires TWO approvals for bills? Can it be set up for a bill to go to user/approver #1 and then when they approve it, it goes to user/approver #2. The bill would not be payable until after BOTH approvals were complete. Does this functionality exist?
Good day, ARJS.
The option to make automatic approval for two bills once both are complete isn't available. QuickBooks approves transactions individually.
You may want to look for a third-party application that can help you achieve this task. There are plenty of applications or apps developed by third-party businesses that sync or integrate with your QuickBooks account. These apps can extend account functionality and provide additional services for your business.

Open a separate Melio account for free to get more features and integrate it with your QBO. Business owner and admins can approve payments that exceed a certain amount.

You gotta love Inuit's canned responses that absolutely never answer the questions actually being asked. It's always a bunch of regurgitated marketing crap about the bare bones basics of their new "improvements." You're correct in deciphering that no, email text is not automatically uploaded into QBO with any of their integrations/automations which renders the bill approval workflow useless in many cases.
Has this question ever been answered?
I'm trying to add multiple bill approval workflows, but only allowing me to enable one at a time. This is an issue because we have multiple vendor bills that need approval from different managers in our company. Can someone please advise?
I can share some information about adding multiple bill approval workflows, @david385.
Currently, the option to add multiple bill approval workflow is still unavailable. That would be a great addition to our current features, so I'll take note of it. I also encourage you to leave feedback from within the product.
Here are the steps:
You can check out this article for more information about providing feedback to make the program better: How do I submit feedback?.
Here's also more information on how to set up and use bill approval workflows in QuickBooks Online Advanced.
Then, here's how you can track your bills and payments: Enter and manage bills and bill payments in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know in the Reply section if you need further information about bills. Keep safe, and have a great rest of the day!

It lets you assign different roles to your team members:
Owner
The person who created the account is the owner. The owner role has access to all the functions, including: approve payments, add/delete team members and assign roles to members. There is only one owner of a Melio account.
Admin
The admin role is similar to the owner with the exception of the admin can’t modify an owner’s user role. They can approve payments as well. There can be more than one admin of a Melio account.
Accountant
We recommend assigning the accountant role to the business’s actual accountant. The accountant can edit bank details and connect to the QuickBooks account. But they need the approval of the owner/admin for payments over a certain amount. There can be more than one accountant per Melio account.
Contributor
The contributor can only make payments up to a certain amount. They need the approval of the owner or admin for other payments. There isn’t a limit on the number of contributors to a Melio account.
