Yesterday when I sent invoices to clients from one company, the email looked totally different from the usual appearance and the Review and Pay link was not included.
The other company we work with had no problem correctly delivering invoices.
I have checked settings and have not found anything unusual.

Your instructions would have been invaluable if the Online Payments showed when processing the invoice.
However, after spending 1.5 hours with QB chat, they found a setting had changed within the system. I have no idea how this happened because I had not visited that part of settings in a long time.

The Review and Pay link will appear if you select the two modes of online payment, Cards and Bank Transfer, when creating the invoice. Please see the sample screenshots below:
If you want to edit your invoices and check the Online payments options, just go to the Sales menu, then select Invoices. Click the Pencil icon to edit the particular invoice transaction.

I just started having this issue on my QB invoices when I send them by email. My clients use the Review and Pay button and now it has disappeared. I use QB Pro Plus 2024 desktop and need help with finding where the settings have changed.
I can definitely help you with this, @rkieffner. It can be concerning when the Review and Pay button disappears while you're trying to send invoices, especially if you've been relying on this feature. Let’s work through this together.
First, let’s make sure your QuickBooks Payments account is still connected to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). If it’s not linked, you'll need to reconnect it to process online payments.
If everything seems fine with your connection, we’ll want to review your settings to ensure everything is configured properly. Here's what you can do:
1. Navigate to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
2. Choose Payments, then Company Preferences.
3. Make sure the boxes under the Online Payments section are ticked.
4. Click OK, then Apply to existing customers.
5. Return to Preferences and go to Send Forms.
6. Under My Preferences, ensure the Use "Plain Text" format for e-mailed invoices box is unchecked.
7. Hit OK.
