SSN OF OWNERS

I'm a foreign citizen and don't have any SSN. I am an owner of a company but I don't live in US and don't work there, but I do business in US and pay taxes. I see in a past discussion that i can put my taxpayer number instead of SSN, is that correct? im just starting in QB

If you have an ITIN or EIN, and you run a B2B company, you may have another option to accept payments.

Thank you for joining the Community, Esther Cilos.

Let me share what I know about identification numbers in QuickBooks Online.

I agree with @Fiat, you can either use Employer Identification Number (EIN), or a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). These are identification numbers the Internal Revenue Service uses to track tax info. The EIN identifies business entities, while a TIN identifies individual taxpayers.

Here's are some articles that you can check to learn more about identification numbers:

I've also included this link in case you need to change your business name, contact info, or EIN in QuickBooks Online.

You can always post your concerns or leave a comment below for other follow-up questions about identification numbers. I'll be around if you need me. Have a good one.

Yesterday i tried with the EIN, but they send me the follonwing message

"Based on the info you provided, we can't approve your application for QuickBooks Checking and Payments"

So i would like to know if there some other way to receive payments or what am doing wrong?

In the box where it say introduce the last fout digits of your ssn, its where i put the last digits of EIN.
