"Suggested transactions" that have already been paid are popping up on new invoices?

I understand how this option can slow down your invoicing process, @qdevivre. I'll provide details about what should show on your invoice page and how to fix them while streamlining customer invoicing in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please know that outstanding transactions, such as billable expenses or time, will appear on the right side of the invoice page. Also, transactions settled in the previous year won't appear when entering an invoice. Thus, I recommend reviewing them to confirm if they are still open. 

If you wish to remove the suggested transactions that appear on your invoices, you can turn off this functionality by modifying the settings. These are the steps:

1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
2. On the left navigational bar, click the + New button and select Invoice.
3. Choose a customer in the Customer field and add all the important details. If the Suggested Transactions don't appear, click the Gear icon beside Manage.
4. In the Suggestions section, select the Dropdown Arrow and uncheck the box beside Automatically show suggested Transactions.
5. Once done, click Save or Review and send button.

I am not trying to deactivate suggested transactions. I am noticing that some of the suggested transactions have already been invoiced and paid for and I’m not sure why they’re showing up as suggested. Can this be fixed?

Suggested transactions under Invoice usually shows all the non-posting transactions that are linked to your customers.

To get this resolved quickly, I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support team. They have the access and the necessary tools to isolate and further elaborate the unusual behavior of your account. 

Here's how you can reach them:
 

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.

2. Select (?) Help in the upper right corner of your screen.

3. Type a question or topic you need to help with, then select Contact a human.

From there, they’ll be able to provide you with personalized assistance to ensure everything is aligned correctly in your reports.

For anyone else having this issue — apparently this is a systemwide issue and they’re currently working on a resolution without an ETA. Finally had a support person tell me this after being sent to multiple depts for two hours.. hopefully it’s resolved soon!

After spending 2h being sent from dept to dept, a support tech finally told me that this is an issue currently being investigated as multiple users are having this issue. Hopefully it’s fixed soon!
