In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), the check number field accepts only numerical values when printing your checks. The error message you're encountering is due to the alphabetical characters you included.
As a workaround, you can use a temporary numerical value to print the EFT check successfully. Please ensure to change the original check number on your bank register to maintain accurate records in QBDT.
Here's how:
- Go to Banking and select Use Register.
- Select the account in the dropdown and click OK.
- Open the EFT transaction in the register and edit the check number.
- Once done, click Save and Close.
Moreover, you can explore third-party applications that allow including alphabetical values when printing your EFT checks.
