can contractors view open shifts

I want my contractors to be able to see what shifts are open (unassigned) so they can pick which shifts they are able to work and get booked for.  How can I make it so?  What's the use in even publishing it if I'm the only one that can see them?

Hello @Momager - first GREAT username, love love LOVE it!

For other users to be able to view & accept unassigned shifts from the schedule you will need to update their Permissions:

  • Select My Team on the left hand navigation
  • Click the Triple Helix (3 vertical dots) to the far right side
  • Select Edit
  • Select; View Schedule: Company
  • Select; Manage Schedule: Company

This will allow that user to be able to pick up any unassigned shifts.

If you need to update this setting for all users and don't want to do it individually you can to a bulk update by going to:

  • Select Schedule on the left hand navigation
  • Select Settings (Gear Icon) in the top right corner
  • Select Schedule Preferences from the drop down
  • Update; View Schedule: Company
  • Update; Manage Schedule: Company

Here is how the employee can then claim the shift:

  • Login into their TSheets Account on the TSheets Web Browser
  • Go to Schedule
  • Find the shift to claim, Click on it
  • To the right the Editor will populate
  • Click on the Edit button
  • Then the user will enter in their name in the Team Member box
  • Publish (if needed)

Another way is to:

  • Login into their TSheets Account on the TSheets Web Browser
  • Go to Schedule
  • Find the shift to claim,
  • Click & Drag the shift to claim
  • Drop the shift to the row that has their name
  • Publish (if needed)

Try that out and see if it will work for you and your team, feel free to let me know how it goes, I'd love to hear back!
