Employee Notes in the App

Until recently when I was on the app, I would select Track Time - Timesheets and this would show a vertical column by date of the employees that had worked on a particular day.  Let's say Wed, Apr 03, and then I would click on an employee and a pop up would come up showing their total hours and a list of the "jobs' they did during their shift.  When I click on one of the jobs another pop up comes up with the start and end time for that job, as well as any notes they had entered during their shift.  I used to be able to click on "Edit" and it would open their notes for me to view.  Now when I click on Edit it only covers that part in a shade of gray....

I've logged off and back in and I've deleted the app and reinstalled but it hasn't changed anything.

 

Can anyone help??

Beforehand, may I know if you're currently using your QuickBooks Workforce App through an IOS or Android version app? Are there any errors received other than these sections being covered part in a shade of gray? You can also share screenshots for us to have a visual reference on your end. Any additional information would be much appreciated.

 

Upon reviewing the employee notes section under the Time Entries page on my device, there were no similar issues taken. You may need to ensure you've updated the app to its latest version to help improve the program's stability and complete these tasks seamlessly.

 

As an alternative, we recommend accessing your account and managing tasks through your mobile web browser. Doing so will help us identify if there are any app-related issues on your device. I'm also sharing these screenshots for your reference.

Employee Notes in the App

Thank you for the reply.  I'm using the Workforce App with an IOS device.  Everything was fine on Monday and then Tuesday I encountered the issue.  I've deleted and reinstalled the app twice and that hasn't fixed the issue.

 

Here is a picture of the page I go to.  The first pic shows the page and normally I would just click on the "Edit" link and all of the note would open for me to view.  Now when I click "Edit" I just get a gray shaded box.

Since the issue persists after uninstalling and reinstalling the QuickBooks App, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to check your account and provide specific troubleshooting steps. Also, they can check if there are ongoing issues that are causing this behavior.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Workforce account.
  2. Navigate to Settings or More, then choose Settings.
  3. Click Help. 
  4. Under Time Tracking, select Contact Us. Choose one of the help options, then select Contact QuickBooks Workforce support.

Thanks all.  I went into the live chat again and it seems the tech team had fixed the bug.  I deleted the app and reinstalled again and this time it's back to working as it was, I can get back into the notes to review.
