Buy nowI have hired an additional employee and entered their information in my QuickBooks desktop program. I have assigned his hourly wage to him. I have synced my desktop account to QuickBooks time app however it keeps giving me an error message that they employee does not have any payroll items assigned to him. I do have payroll items assigned to him however they keep giving me the error message there is not any items assigned to him and therefore it does not sync his hours then back to my QuickBooks desktop. Please help.

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can help you fix the error message related to your employee when syncing data between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Time.
You'll need to set up employees with payroll items in QuickBooks Desktop. If done, I recommend using the Payroll Item Mapping Tool to map QuickBooks payroll items in QuickBooks Time.
Mapping payroll items by employee sets a default payroll item for each type of hours your employees track. Here's how:
Also, If you export your hours from QuickBooks Time to QuickBooks Desktop and the hours aren't correct, this is most likely because you need to refresh the payroll detail. Thank you for your quick response. I have taken screenshots to show the messages I am receiving. I am using the web connector to sync my QuickBooks Time to my desktop. With the mapping tool, I am unable add any payroll items. As you can see the in second screenshot I have items assigned to the employee. If there are other troubleshooting ideas you have, please let me know. I have tried searching through other community questions and have yet to find a solution that corrects this issue.
