extra time being added to employee clocking in

I only have a couple employees.  They are using the app on their phone to clock in and clock out.

When they clock in say from 8am - 12pm and I look at their time on my app it says 4 hours and 20minutes.

Every time they clock in no matter the length, the QB app adds about 20 minutes to their time.  In my example, the main page would show them working 4hours 20 minutes, if I open their time it still says 8-12 but I have to open each clock in time, click on the clock in or clock out and click save.  Only then does it show 4 hours instead of the 4 hours and 20 minutes.

How can I get just 4 hours of time instead of extra being added on?

I understand the importance of tracking your employee's time accurately, Homebase. Let me direct you to the right support to help you with this concern.

In QuickBooks Workforce (formerly QuickBooks Time mobile app), the data that will show on your end depends on the entries made by your employees. Since there's an extra 20 minutes in the total of hours despite clocking in and out on time, I recommend contacting our Support team. They can investigate the matter and provide you with a viable solution to rectify the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Workforce app.
  2. Select Settings or More, then Settings.
  3. Select Help, then select Contact Us.
  4. Choose one of the help options, then select Contact QuickBooks Workforce support.
