Hello,
I am having an issue where multiple employees are going over there lunch and then clocking in at the company and saying they forgot to clock in after the allotted 30 minute lunch break. If I edit the punch will the location tracking show me if they were onsite or not?
Ensuring that employees follow company policies regarding break times is crucial, @Austchr28. I'd be glad to clarify how GPS tracking in QuickBooks Time works and how to manage this situation effectively.
When you edit a time punch in QuickBooks Time, the location tracking will reflect the GPS data collected at the time the employee clocked in.
However, it's important to note that GPS data is only recorded while the employee is on the clock, not during breaks or when they are clocked out. Thus, you can review the GPS location at clock-in to verify if they were on-site.
I've also compiled a couple of resources to further assist you with time tracking in QuickBooks Workforce:
Additionally, you can refer to the article on how to create or deny time off requests for your employees: Approve and manage time off entries for team members.
Please let me know if you have further questions about GPS tracking, managing employee clock-ins, or any other challenges in QuickBooks Time. We're here to provide guidance and support.

The OP didn't ask about break times. Did you read the question?
