Join nowI created a team member in TSheets that I need to delete. Archiving doesn't solve the issue of trying to recreate the team member profile via our QuickBooks integration. I need to completely delete them from the system.
Happy Monday, @khowe.
Within QuickBooks Time, archiving will be the equivalent of deleting. There is no way to permanently remove this employee. But, if you need to sync this employee with QuickBooks, you can simply make sure all fields match exactly in both programs, (first and last name, phone number, and email), and they will link up once you run a sync.
As a reminder here's how you can archive (remove) a Team Member from your QuickBooks Time Account:
I'm including this article on managing team members within QuickBooks TIme: Add and manage team members in QuickBooks Time.
If you need further clarification on this or anything else, please let me know! Have a fantastic start to your week!
When I go to the triple helix associated with the person's name, the only option is to edit. There is no option labeled archive.
Hi Jessica,
When i click on the triple helix, the only option I have is to "edit". There is no option to "archive".
Thanks for joining in the conversation, @chrisb4323.
I was able to pull up your account and I'm not seeing a reason why this option wouldn't be available to you. One thing to note, you'll need to be logged in as an Admin to archive team members.
If you're logged in as Admin and seeing this, can you provide a screenshot of your screen? This would be helpful for me to try to see what's going on.
I look forward to hearing from you!
I need to change my email address - I'm the administrator of our QB & T-Sheets accounts but my husband uses the same email address so when he logs into T-Sheets it's logging me in instead of him. It doesn't give me an option to archive me since I'm the administrator. Anyone run into this situation?
Hey there, GS243.
Happy Friday! I'm happy to clarify here. Within Intuit, you'll need to each have a unique email so the system can differentiate between users! You'll want to update this information within your QuickBooks and run a sync, as well as accounts.intuit.com.
Additionally, to archive an Admin you'll first need to make someone else an Admin, as there has to be at least one Admin in the account. Then this new Admin can get you archived. Here's how you can make someone an Admin within your account:
Please let me know if you have other questions! I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
There is no archive selection in "edit". How to delete a Team Member, please.
Hey akogut-allaround,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I will like to shed some light on this matter. It sounds like your QB Time account is bundled with payroll. To make changes such as deleting a team member, this would need to be done in QuickBooks Online. Your employee would need to be inactive from QuickBooks Online and then run an import to QuickBooks Time. Here's how to make a team member inactive in QBO:
From here, as mentioned before, import those changes to QuickBooks Time. That should do it! However, if you're not using the payroll bundle with QB Online, let me know so we can continue to troubleshoot.
If you have any questions or concerns, my team and I will be here to assist you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
None of these steps are working for me.
Hi, @glassboardco! I appreciate you for trying all of the steps suggested by my colleagues.
You can only Archive team members in QB Time. To do so, they should be inactive in QB Online before syncing.
I recommend contacting live QuickBooks Time Support for help troubleshooting if none of the measures offered by my colleagues are successful.
