How do I setup a permanent timecard for Salary employees?

I am wanting to setup a permanent timecard that auto-populates weekly for my salary team.  I want it to be simply and fast, so they don't have to clock in and out daily.  Salary is suppose to be easier, the only thing they will have to do is enter their time off requests.

How do I setup a permanent timecard for Salary employees?

Currently, the program doesn't offer the ability to generate or record a permanent time entry. However, you have the option to manually record their hours over different periods or days, even if they aren't utilizing the clock-in and clock-out functionality.

 

Here are the steps I'd like to outline:

 

  1. Go to the Time Entries menu and proceed to the Manual Time Card tab.
  2. Select inside the cell to add the number of hours worked. (For example, to enter 8 1/2 hours, type 8.5 or 8:30.)
  3. Continue adding hours and notes to each day.
  4. Click Save to go to the next period.

I recognize that having the ability to maintain a permanent timecard for salaried employees could enhance the efficiency of data input in QuickBooks Time. You can submit this idea as a product suggestion to our engineering team.

  2. Select Suggest Idea.
  3. Type in your suggestion or feature request, then click Send Idea.
