Time mobile enter billable items to local database

We are currently using Workforce as a “clock in-out” for two employees to register their time on the job.

Another employee who has different types of functions would like to use the Workforce as a mobile platform to record her time on multiple projects and to use QuickBooks on her PC to record time on the same projects. She would record her time on the mobile app depending on her location at the time, and have it link to the inhouse QB database. She does not need to “clock in-out" as she simply would record her time thru the mobile app and bill her time as if she was at her desktop. She is setup with administrator privileges.

Will it work for this Executive to use the mobile and PC interchangeably on the same projects while the two other employees only have permission to use it to “clock in-out” on their local PC?

Time mobile enter billable items to local database

Hi Docmedia,

Thank you for posting here in the Community space. I'm here to share information about entering time and managing QuickBooks Desktop.

Yes, your Executive can use both platforms interchangeably on the same projects. Make sure your QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Desktop are integrated so the time entered will sync automatically.

For employees with Clock In and Out permission only, use the web browser to access QuickBooks Time on their PC. For the steps, check out this link: Clock in, switch jobs or customers, and clock out on QuickBooks Time Web.

Also, you can integrate QuickBooks Time for QuickBooks files created between 2015-2018 via Web Connector. You can visit this article to learn more about the QuickBooks integration process: Integrate QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Desktop using Web Connector.

Let us know by dropping a comment if you need more clarification about entering time via mobile and managing QuickBooks Desktop. We'll be sure to help you. Have a great day ahead.
