Buy nowHello, just signed up and configured Time for tracking timesheets with a contractor. They will enter a timesheet manually, logging hours per day. I have enabled the add-on for submitting timesheets and the online portal seems to work well. However, the issue with Workforce mobile app. The More > Submit Time screen does not have any dates listed to submit. The Submit button is grayed out. An under 'Submit Through' states 'no selection'. Nothing else is displayed on the screen. This is with a Android Galaxy 22Ultra and has the latest updates applied.
Am I missing a setting?
Any help is appreciated.
Hi there, @passingthru. I’m here to ensure you effortlessly manage your timesheets.
To start, we can verify other options of your account preferences to make sure your contractor can approve the time that they have manually entered in the QuickBooks Workforce mobile app. Let’s begin by checking your account preference to see if your team is permitted to submit their timesheets from a mobile device.
Here’s how:
After that, you can proceed to submitting time by following the steps outlined below:
You’ll also want to take note that you won’t be able to edit your hours after submitting your timesheets unless the admin or manager rejects it.
Moreover, I added an article where you can refer to the steps of the troubleshooting available in using QuickBooks Workforce: Troubleshoot QuickBooks Workforce (formerly QuickBooks Time mobile app).
I’m always here just in case you have further queries about managing timesheets. I’m just a few clicks away.
Thank you RoseJillB, I had the steps completed as you have outlined for enabling team members to review and submit their time, reconfirmed.
The steps to submit a time sheet is where I am running into an issue. After selecting More > Submit Time, the screen does not contain any dates. There are pending timesheets available that should show. I can see them when I go thru a laptop browser, just not Workforce.
Thank you.
Hello there,
I appreciate you for performing the provided steps. You can perform some troubleshooting steps to see if this is one of the common syncing issues. If you’re having issues with your Workforce app not syncing, such as timesheets not sending to the web dashboard or changes to jobs and custom fields not updating in the app, these may be some of the reasons:
You may follow these steps to troubleshoot this sync issue:
For detailed information, refer to this article: Troubleshoot QuickBooks Workforce (formerly QuickBooks Time mobile app).
If the issue persists after those troubleshooting steps, I encourage you to contact our QuickBooks Time Support. They have the necessary tools and knowledge to assist you in resolving this matter.
I will also leave this article you can use in the future: QuickBooks Time reports.
For additional QuickBooks-related concerns, don't hesitate to post them here in the Community. We're always available and willing to lend a hand to your queries. Have a great day ahead.
Thank you. Synced and no errors from syncing, however, same issue still. All other timeaheet data sync immediately without issue (created timeaheets from Workforce back to the laptop browser, and vise versa.)
Will contact support.
So, it turns, the issue is because I was trying to submit a timesheet for the week ahead. If I rejected this week's timesheet (previously submitted & approved via Web UI), in the Workforce mobile app, it would now show this weeks timesheet entries as available options to submit in the mobile app.
So, this brings me to my next question, how do I allow the week ahead to be submitted via the mobile app, Workforce? (As a workaround, can use the Web UI.)
Thanks!
Hello there, @passingthru.
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the submission of the week ahead through the Workforce mobile app or Web UI. We appreciate your interest in this feature. Let me provide you with some relevant information.
To submit the week ahead via the mobile app, you will need to have existing time entries for the days within that week. Once the time entries are recorded, you can submit the week ahead using the app.
