Is there any way to leave A/R credits for customers that have overpaid, but not have them appear on the A/R aging? They are throwing my AR balances off a bit and I'd like to run the report without those customers appearing.

There isn't a way to exclude only outstanding credits, which do impact your AR balance.
Hi there, @Gail25.
Welcome to the Community. I understand you don't want the A/R credits for customers to appear on the A/R aging report.
The best way to remove them is to apply the deposits as a credit to an invoice. Here's how:

Hi KatherineJoyce,
I appreciate your explanation, however, I don't want to eliminate the credit from the customer. I am looking to eliminate the negative numbers from the A/R Aging report. On the Filters Tab I should be able to add Amount >= .01; however QB has a note that QB ignores positive and negative signs for this report. Is there another way?
Hi @Gail25,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I'll take care of your query about the A/R Aging report.
As stated by @BigRedConsulting above, the option you're looking for is unavailable. What you can do is follow the steps shared by @katherinejoyceO when you create an invoice for the customer that you wish to apply the credits to.
Take a look at this article as well: Advanced troubleshooting for balance sheets out of balance. It's a detailed guide on how you can run custom reports to identify the cause of an out of balance Balance Sheet.

I know this is from a while ago, but if you're only tracking aging on invoices there is a way to get rid of those pesky credits on accounts that are negative. Here's how:
- Pull up your aging report
- Click on Customize Report in the upper left hand corner of the window.
- Click on the Filters tab on the Modify Report popup.
- Under the Filter scrollbar, scroll to find TransactionType and click.
- On the dropdown that appears click Invoice and press OK.
Now instead of Credits and Invoices, you'll see just the aging of Inovices.
Hope this helps someone.
