Acct Descriptions different from COA and TB

Why is the RowData when I run "SP_Report TrialBalance" and the full "Account" query different?

For instance, the COA query shows: Taxes & Licenses:Property Tax Exp

Whereas the TB shows: Taxes And Licenses:Property Tax Exp

This particular entity doesn't have a numerical account numbers assigned, so I'm relegated to using the alpha characters, and this type of variance is making it impossible to match.

In general, shouldn't the Account be the master source of all of the RowData descriptions? If not, what is my workaround? Thank you

Acct Descriptions different from COA and TB

Hello there, @TopaEquities.

I replicated your concern to see the result, however, the account's name didn't change when I ran the Account QuickReport and the Trial Balance report. When QuickBooks experience unusual behavior it is recommended to use a private browser. Stored cache tends to hold onto information and can cause issues in the web pages.

Follow these keyboard shortcuts to start a private browsing session:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works, you’ll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to improve the program's performance. If not, I'd suggest using other supported browsers.

You can customize the reports so you'll be able to focus on the important details. If you'd like to save its current customized settings, you can memorize them.
