Adding columns to "select bills to be paid" - Vendor Payable

I understand how important to add columns in the Pay Bills window. However, this feature isn't available in QuickBooks Desktop. As a workaround, you can add the description to the memo of the bill. Here's how:

1. Go to the Vendors menu. 
2. Choose the Vendor Center.
3. Select the customer with the bill.
4. Open the bill, then enter the description to the memo field. 
5. Once done, click on Save.

Can the memo be viewed in the "select bills to be paid?"

The information entered on the Memo field can't be viewed when paying bills in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). If you wish to, you can run a report for your open bills to view the memo added from there. Just add the Memo column when customizing the report/s.

1. Select Vendors & Payables from the Reports menu.
2. Click on Unpaid Bills Detail or the report you want to open.
3. Go to the Customize Report button.
4. Add the Memo column.
5. Tap OK.
