QuickBooks doesn't have the option to automatically mark invoices as PAID in the system.
If the invoice is still open yet the payment status is showing as paid, you'll want to run some basic troubleshooting steps to address the issue.
There are times that too much cache build-up in a browser can cause unexpected behavior with the product. This is the reason why you're getting this experience.
To start, open your account using a private window. This doesn't save your local histories and will help us isolate the problem. Simply press the following shortcut keys:
- Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
- Control + Option + P (Safari).
If everything goes back to normal, head back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Alternatively, use another supported browser if the issue persists.
Additionally, you can run several financial reports in QuickBooks to track your sales.
