All of the sudden I cannot email invoices. When I type in my password for AOL it says that it is not valid. How do I fix it?

All of the sudden I cannot email invoices. When I type in my password for AOL it says that it is not valid. How do I fix it?

Hello there, plaqueshaque

 

The email password might have something to do with the Send Forms settings. What we can do is update your Web Mail set up and double-check other details in your Preferences.

 

Before that, make sure that your QBDT is updated to the latest version. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select Update QuickBooks Desktop on the drop-down.
  3. On the Options tab, click Mark All, then Save.
  4. Now, go to the Update Now tab and mark the Reset Update box, then select Get Updates.

 

Once completed, close and reopen QBDT. Then, proceed following these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu, then choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Send Forms tab.
  3. Under My Preferences, tick Web Mail, then highlight the email ID.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Check or correct the Server Details.
  6. Once done, click OK.

If you want to change the email ID, you'll have to highlight the email ID. Then, hit the Delete button. Set up your email settings and try sending an invoice again. Also, you can check out these articles for further guidance:
