I've had the same issue on and off continuously for probably about 4 months now. There was some update that was done and ever since my search function has been completely out of whack. Just now I was searching by bill# and nothing popped up, I even went as far as to put in the amount of the bill and nothing popped up. Then I go to enter the bill and it says it's a duplicate. This has been such a frustrating and time wasting situation and every time I try to click on feedback to report it, my QBO window freezes up and I can't even leave feedback.
I am also working on Chrome and this is my main browser which I was told by a QBO agent and even the QBO certification training program insists that you use Chrome for functionality yet this is a Chrome issue that doesn't happen on Safari or other browsers? That's ridiculous.
Have you found any resolve to this or been instructed on how to fix this? I've tried logging in and out, cleared my entire cache in Chrome, restarted my entire laptop, nothing has fixed this issue and it seems to come and go with the wind. Just 10 minutes ago the search was working perfectly fine and then poof, nothing seems to be entered.
DEAR QBO ENGINEERS - PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP. It is a nightmare when I've got a vendor that I have 115 bills for as I'm trying to figure out which bills I am missing from the statement they've sent me and I end up having to go through the vendors tab. It is a total waste of time when I'm reprinting and entering bills that have already been entered because of a glitch with this program.
Hello there, @SBR415.
I'd also feel the same when I encountered the same issue for months.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support team so they can add you to the list of affected users and notify you once there's a possible resolution. Here's how:
