Anyone else having issues with their receipts not attaching?

Hello, indycarrie.

I have news regarding the receipt issue, and I'll come up with a way on how we can get around it.

I found out that we currently have a reported issue about receipts not saving or attaching on transactions. Our engineers are currently working to resolve this as soon as possible.

There are two workarounds to add your receipts to QuickBooks Self-Employed. The first one is to scan them using the mobile app. Here's how:

  1. In the QBSE mobile app, go to the Transactions tab and tap the Plus sign.
  2. Hit Snap receipt.
  3. Select a photo from your camera roll, or take a new picture.
  4. Go to the Needs Action section, and open and review the scanned receipt.
  5. After reviewing or correcting any details, hit Save

The second method is to forward your receipts. For the full guide and instructions, you can check out this article: Forward receipts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you'd like to receive an update about the issue, you can contact us. Our support agents will add you to the list of affected users. To reach us:

  1. Click the Assistant button at the top.
  2. Type "Talk to a human" in the text box.
  3. If prompted, type or click I still need a human.
  4. Choose how you want to contact us.

When prompts asks you for details or if you get an agent, give this reference number (INV-48968). Tell them that you can't add the receipts and you need to be added to the affected users list.

If there's anything else you need help with in QuickBooks Self-Employed, I'd highly recommend checking out our general support page with articles

More than happy to lend a hand again if you have future concerns or questions for QBSE. Simply add your reply in this thread and I'll spring into action. Have an awesome day ahead.
