AR Ageing Report special

Using QBDT Pro 2023

Looking for suggestions on how to create (if possible) a specialized AR Ageing Report for only invoices that were sent for a specific billing item.  Situation: We are a chamber of commerce, and it would be most helpful to be able to run an ageing report for invoices sent for Membership Dues only. We may have invoiced members for other items during the year, but if the membership dues aren't paid within a specific time frame, it would be informative to the membership staff in pursuing collections. Is there a way to generate an ageing report for members that included only charges for Membership Dues? Suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I can see how beneficial it is for your company to have a report that shows the items described above. I'm here to point you in the best route for achieving your goal.

Let's run the Custom Transaction Detail report and refine the data. To build the statement, follow the steps below:

  1. In your company file, navigate to the Reports menu at the top bar to select Custom Reports and Help me choose.
  2. This action will open a window that lets you select which report type.
  3. Press the Create Custom Transaction Detail Report link.
  4. In the Modify Report window, tap the Dates drop-down and select the period you wish to use.
  5. Head to the Columns section and pick the following: TypeDateNumNameTermsItemItem DescriptionAgingOpen BalanceAmount, and Balance.
  6. In the Filters tab, choose Transaction Type and select Invoice
  7. Select Item and pick the lists you wish to show on the report.
  8. Click OK for the changes to take effect.

This is what the report looks like after performing these steps.
