Attempting to understand the difference between "category" and "item" when creating a PO. Cannot figure it out :) Would appreciate your expertise in educating me .

• ITEM is for using the item code from the Products/Services list but mainly for purchasing Inventory type that goes to Inventory Asset Account.
• CATEGORY is for directly using the expense account from the Chart of Accounts.
