balance sheet by class in QuickBooks desktop pro 2021

Upgraded from QB desktop pro 2020 to 2021 this week and went to run a balance sheet by class report today and the option is not under \Reports\Company & Financial.  Has this report been removed?

 

We have two companies and this is a primary report used to manage the businesses.  If it has been removed can I downgrade to QB Desktop Pro 2020?

I can share some information about the availability of this report.

 

Please know that the Balance Sheet by Class report is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop Pro. As of the moment, this is only available in the Premier and Enterprise version.

 

As a workaround, you'll want to consider customizing the Balance Sheet Detail report to add the Class column and sort the data by class. Here's how:

 

  1. Select Reports from the top menu bar.
  2. Go to Company & Financial.
  3. Choose Balance Sheet Detail, then click the Customize Report button.
  4. Head to the Display tab, set the appropriate reporting data and accounting method.
  5. From the Columns section, add the Class column.
  6. Select Class from the Sort by drop-down menu.
  7. Click OK to run the report.

However, if this customization doesn't suit your business needs, you may need to upgrade to QuickBooks Desktop Premier or Enterprise.

Thank you very much for the reply.

 

The root of the issue was that annual support was purchased in early 2020.  We use Premier and they set-up Pro Plus.  Received an email stating I needed to signed into account, did so and saw 2021 upgrade and installed it (that is on me for not knowing Pro Plus was lower then Premier).  Called Intuit today; they canceled Pro Plus support and added Premier support and the Premier 2021 version has been installed, which resolved the problem
