bulk import bills for Quickbook desktop

Could you help me by explaining how I can send bills in bulk to Quickbook desktop from an Excel file. Apart from that, I am a developer that you recommend to automate the uploading of invoices and bills from my system.

You can use an importer tool as a workaround and it's a $199 one time license. You can buy it via a partner and you can get $100 cashback.

For more advanced users that would like to schedule imports into QB Desktop, a full command line interface exists that you can use to start the process even if your company file is not open. These commands can also be used in a batch file, and the process scheduled via Windows Scheduler. You can ask their Support for details and several helpful articles on writing batch files exist in their website as well as helpful videos explaining the process on YouTube.

bulk import bills for Quickbook desktop

We appreciate your time posting here in the Community space, Choose. Let me share some insights about importing data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Importing bills to QBDT using an Excel file is currently unavailable in the program. As a workaround, consider using the Intuit Interchange Format (IIF) files to import and export your lists and transactions to and from QBDT.

Before importing, back up your company file in case you ever run into problems. You can use your backup to restore your data.

If you're on QBDT for Windows, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your company file as an admin.
  2. Go to the File menu and Switch to Single-user Mode.
  3. Navigate to the File menu, then click Utilities.
  4. Go to the Import option and hit Import IIF.
  5. Click the IIF file you want to import, then choose Open.
  6. Press OK to confirm the import.

If you're on QBDT for Mac, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your company file as an admin.
  2. Go to File, then select Import.
  3. Select From IIF Files, then export your IIF file.

Moreover, we have a dedicated discussion thread for concerns related to the automation of uploading forms in QuickBooks. This is where you can engage with our software engineers and developers. That said, I recommend posting your query on our Intuit Developer Community page.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Intuit Developer Support website.
  2. Click QuickBooks Online.
  3. Select the Ask a Question button.
  4. If you're prompted to sign in, enter your Intuit login credentials.
  5. Provide a brief description of your concern and click Ask.

Please feel free to post here if you're still in need of assistance importing your data or any other concerns in QBDT. I'd be happy to assist you again. Have a good one.
