Can I add two receipts from a restaurant expense? In other words I have an itemized receipt and then another receipt with the tip. What does the IRS need?

Yes, you can add two receipts on your expense transaction. All you need to do is to picture the two receipt together, then manually attach it to the restaurant expense. Receipts tell the story of your business expenses. If you have specific questions about receipts and record-keeping, I recommend taking with your accountant or a tax professional for guidance. 

 

To manually attach receipt to a transaction, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. In the left menu, click Transactions
  2. Locate the restaurant expense transaction, 
  3. Click the drop-down arrow on the transaction under the ACTION column. 
  4. Go to the Receipt section and hit browse
  5. Choose an image from your camera roll, or select Take photo.
  6. When you're ready, select Save.
