Can I automatically upload old statements from one of my connected banking accounts?

You can use our Bank Feeds feature to automatically download the last 90 days of transactions from your bank. Some banks will go up to 24 months back.

There isn't an automated process for uploads of older statement records; however, they can be uploaded manually. Here's how:
Identify oldest transaction date to prevent duplicates

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Accounting, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate and open which bank account you'd like to import data into, then choose View register.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of your list.
  4. Write down the date of your most aged record. Usually it's the opening balance.

Download transactions from your bank

  1. Log in to your bank's website.
  2. Make use of the steps provided by your bank to download which data you need.
  3. Confirm the date range for your pending file is at least one day prior to the oldest transaction from our last set of steps.
  4. Download your data. Save it somewhere you can easily find it.

Once you've downloaded them from your bank, you can proceed with reviewing the file's format and size, then uploading its data into QuickBooks.
