Can I connect my gmail account to send invoices from? (on QB Desktop we had such an option to connect gmail account and all sent invoices were in my Sent Items)

Can I connect my gmail account to send invoices from? (on QB Desktop we had such an option to connect gmail account and all sent invoices were in my Sent Items)

I'd like to welcome you here to the Community, NewOnlineUser.

 

You can definitely link your Gmail account to send invoices from QBO. Allow me to share these steps with you:

 

  1. Go to the + New button and select Invoice
  2. Enter all the details of the invoice, then click Save and send.
  3. Click the drop-down list in the From field and choose Add Gmail address.
  4. Choose Connect Google account.
  5. Enter your username and password, then follow the succeeding prompts to link your Gmail account. 

 

 

Please note that before sending the invoice, click the drop-down list again for From and select the Gmail account. All emailed transactions will also be listed in the Sent folder in your Gmail account.

Thank you JenoP! I followed all instructions to connect my Google account and inside QB it shows me that it will be sent from my company email - but it is still not being sent from my company email. Costumers are still getting the invoices from [email address removed] instead of my company email (and also it's not showing up in my Sent Items inside my Google account).

Can you please try disconnect and reconnect your Google account? Then, send an invoice to your email address or your worker's email to see if the sender will be updated. If it's the same thing, you'll want to contact our QBO Support so they can use more tools to check this further.

 

Disconnect Google account:

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu, then select Invoices.
  2. Open an invoice and select Save and send.
  3. From the email address dropdown, select Remove Gmail address.

 

QBO Support:

 

  1. Click on Help and click the Search tab.
  2. Click Contact Us at the bottom.
  3. Enter a sentence to describe the scenario and click Continue.
  4. Choose Start a chat or Get a callback.

Thank you JessT! I did try to disconnect and reconnect many times, but it's still not working. I did contact QBO and was on the phone for 3.5 hours doing many trouble-shootings and still not working. They opened an Inv case, waiting to hear back and getting the thing resolved.
