Hello Chris,

We can change the pricing information of the product/service items by entering the amounts manually when creating the estimates.

However, this doesn't update the information in the Products and Services page. You'll want to update the item details one at a time.

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Products and Services.
  2. Look for the item and click Edit.
  3. Update the item information.
  4. Click Save and close.

Any changes on the item won't affect your existing transactions retroactively such as estimates, invoices, and etc. You'll want to open the existing estimates and toggle them one at a time. Let me show you how:

  1. Open the existing estimate.
  2. Look for the said item and toggle it to a different one.
  3. Toggle it back to the correct item and enter the correct quantity.
  4. Click Save and close.
  5. Choose Yes to confirm the action.

I'll be right here if you need more assistance with this.

Is there a way to do this for a whole estimate? Lets say its an old estimate that a customer wants updated. Is there any way other than doing the line by line toggle of an item? EG a pull current pricing from the database for all items in the estimate.

Thank you!

Hello bengineering,

I appreciate you for getting back here in the Community. I'm here to assist you by providing additional clarification about your item pricing question.

Right now, the only option to update item pricing in QBO is by changing them manually per line on an existing transaction. Please also know that the ability to perform batch actions are currently possible in the Desktop version of QuickBooks only.

In case you want to know more about estimates, I'm adding the article below:

Set up and use estimates and quotes.

Please be sure to reach out to me if you have additional questions regarding your transactions. I'll be around to help.
