Currently, there isn't an option to automatically convert purchase order (i.e., in cases) to sell (i.e., per bottle) quantities in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll have to manually convert quantities (i.e., bottle to cases and cases to bottles) when purchasing your inventory items. Then, track the inventory items you receive from suppliers by creating either a bill, check or expense from the PO.
After that, QuickBooks automatically increases the quantity on hand by the number of items you received. You can learn more about this by checking out this article: Reorder inventory or supplies from vendors. Then, you're now set to sell your items per bottle.
Also, I'd recommend pulling up the Open Purchase Order Detail report. This way, you can effectively monitor your open POs that are grouped by item and/or account. It also includes the total, received, and balance quantities and amounts. Just go to the Expenses and vendors section from the Reports menu's Standard tab.
Additionally, here's an article that'll further guide you in managing your vendors and business expenses using QBO: Expenses and Vendors Help Articles. It includes topics about credits, inventory, and purchase orders, to name a few.
I'm just around to help if you have other concerns about managing vendor transactions in QBO. Take care always.
You may need an additional app to have the unit measurements feature and integrate it it your QBO. Otherwise consider switching to QBD Premier. You may purchase a one time license of QBD 2021 Premier for 1 user worth $499 and deploy a private cloud if required.
